Join Girl Scouts Heart of Central California for a unique opportunity at the State Capitol. Girls will attend our second annual "Day at the Capitol" event. Girl Scouts will hear from female leaders about the importance of civic engagement, and celebrate women who have led positive change through their involvement in government, public policy and the democratic process. Girls will experience a welcome lunch, panel discussions, inspiring guest speakers, legislative brunch and fun activities with other Girl Scouts.

We are seeking adult volunteers to help with event set-up, clean up and girl/parent check-in. Volunteers with advocacy, policy or government experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
Organized and able to communicate clear instructions
Help provide a safe space where participants can learn, grow and make memories
Encourage girls to try new activities, work as a team, and think outside the box
Support event set-up and clean-up, registration, and surveys

Requirements:
Must be over 18 years old
Must be able to volunteer for the full shift
Able to walk and stand for 3-4 hours
