Best Buddies Citizens is a community-based adult friendship program, that pairs people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in one-to-one friendships. We are looking for adults WITHOUT IDD between the age of 20 to 35, looking to make a huge impact by being matched with other adults with IDD.

How It Works:

Matching: Volunteers are paired based on location, shared interests, and age for a year.

Meet-ups: Participating in activities and spending quality in-person time together at least twice a month is suggested for buddy pairs.

Events: Best Buddies offices host social events, training's, and group activities monthly, offering friendship pairs opportunities to socialize with other program participants.

Communication: Buddy pairs connect at least once a week by email, phone call, texting, social media or written correspondence and submit monthly friendship updates to the Program Manager.

Monitoring: Best Buddies Staff members maintain regular contact with program volunteers to ensure the quality of matches
