We are looking for caring folk to be hospice volunteers, to show up to meet the needs of patients and their families. Our volunteers offer companionship, chores, caregiver relief, and magic.
Volunteers - and anyone interested in considering becoming a hospice volunteer - receive free, careful and comprehensive training. Our volunteer coordinator usually schedules one-on-one training sessions at a time and place convenient for new volunteers.
Once trained, volunteers typically give 1-2 hours most weeks when they have a case. We match our volunteers with our patients carefully, thinking about what both client and volunteer need and enjoy.
We are looking for companions, singers, musicians, handy-folk and gardeners, body workers, hair cutters, veterans, surrogate grandparents and surrogate grandchildren, and you !!
Let's discuss what you might want to offer!
