Tech Prep labs needs volunteers to assist with the current after school program through the end of this school year 2019 and continuing in September through the end of the school year, 2020.

We are currently developing summer camps schedules that will provide specialized Math, Reading, Science, Art and Music, Coding and Robotics weekly workshops. If you have a specialized program that you would like to share with our kids please contact us and let's sit down and discuss in detail.

Mission Statement

Tech Prep Labs, Inc. will address the lack of technological and educational resources in targeted communities of Chicago, Illinois. Technology will help transform the lives of individuals in these communities, closing the educational and economical gaps in the targeted communities. Currently, nearly 40 percent of Chicago residents are either entirely offline or have limited access. Thus, 4 in 10 residents face technology barriers of varying degrees. Statistically, seniors, minorities, and low-income and less educated residents are most likely to be offline or less-connected.

Description

Tech Prep Labs, Inc. is organized to develop technology-based resource centers that will provide free computer training and academic assistance for students ages (kids (5-7 years old) youth (8-12 years), teens (13-14 years) and young adults (15-18) living in low income, impoverished communities. Tech Prep Labs, Inc. will be instrumental in bridging the literacy gap for the target population that will increase the needed skills for the 21st century

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Monday - Thursday from 3:pm to 6pm. At least 2 days per week. until the end of this school year. Summer camp programs are being developed at this time
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school aged kids. Proficient in Math and English, Coding, Art and Science.
