As fundraising coordinator with Cat Cavorting, this person will work with the director on planning about 3-5 fundraising and community events per year. Currently the director plans and executes all events and is looking to mentor someone on successful event planning and working as a team to throw these events. You will never be all alone working on the events since we LOVE to plan, too and will be there along the entire way.
We would love for this person to be social, friendly, outgoing, passionate about fundraising, and a bonus would be a great negotiator. The fundraising coordinator will manage the volunteers who attend the events. The number of volunteers will vary based on our participation.
Main responsibilities will include:
- work with director on the annual events plan
- correspond with event venues/vendors/sponsors
- assist Director with the silent/raffle auction baskets
- recruit volunteers to assist with silent auction donations and event day volunteering (set up, selling raffle tickets, advocating for Cat Cavorting, and clean up/break down)
- create event details and coordinate graphics for Facebook and Yelp events
We are located in Phoenix, Arizona. Events are usually at restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, pet supply retailers, etc and range between 30 - 150 attendees.
