ORGANIZATION: 826 Boston

826 Boston is a nonprofit youth writing and publishing organization that empowers traditionally underserved students ages 6-18 to find their voices, tell their stories, and gain communication skills to succeed in school and in life.

April Break is just around the corner, which means a full week of creative writing workshops at 826 Boston! Students will be writing poetry about animals, making podcasts, creating graphic novels and more. It's a lot of fun and we want you to join in on the action.

We’re looking for outstanding individuals like you (yes, you!) to support our April break workshops! Volunteers will start off their commitment with a review of the workshop lesson and their roles. During the workshop, volunteers will work with students individually and in small groups to help them write their stories.

To sign up or request additional information, email our volunteer team. Be sure to include your name, phone number, and the workshop(s) for which you would like to volunteer. We’ve also linked a flyer with full descriptions.
