The Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE - www.oclre.org) is seeking attorney volunteers for the Middle School Mock Trial State Showcase. Volunteers provide an enriching educational experience for middle school students who present an original case based on a popular young adult book. This year, students will present arguments based on the Newbery Medal winning novel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor.
There is an urgent need for judges on all three showcase dates in May. The showcase will take place at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Please consider joining OCLRE on one or more of the dates below.
· Thursday, May 2, 2019
· Friday, May 3, 2019
· Friday, May 10, 2019
To sign up, please complete a volunteer form or contact Danielle Wilmot at DWilmot@OCLRE.org or 614-485-3507.
