For this specific opportunity we are looking for a volunteer that will spend time in our in patient unit assisting at the nurse's station while the nurses are administering care. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Answering the phones in a professional manner & directing the call to the proper personnel
• Greeting guests who enter the building
• Assisting visitors with signing in the guest log
• Notifying the upstairs office when packages arrive
• Checking the IPU mailbox
• Assisting the friends/family of patients with the television in our living room/waiting room area
• Assisting the friends/family of patients with connecting to the Wi-Fi in the unit
• Assisting friends/family with locating the room their loved one is in (for first time visitors)
• (Optional) Playing piano in our living room/waiting room area (If you would like)

We also have a number of other volunteer opportunities in which we are always in need of volunteers. We're looking for individuals who would like to make a difference in patient lives by sharing a special talent or simply just companionship. Special talents can include but are not limited to the following:

We have volunteer opportunities available in our inpatient unit as well as at patient homes. We encourage our volunteers to volunteer as little or as much as you like. We also have administrative volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers play an important role in helping us provide the best end of life care possible. Volunteers can help make a difference by being directly involved with the care of the patient and their family or indirectly in an administrative role. Any time you share with us benefits our patients greatly.
