Mission Statement

Our mission is to end chronic homelessness among veterans in our communities. Achieving that mission is requires more than putting a roof over our veterans’ heads. It requires a holistic approach that addresses the "total veteran" and his or her needs. Bright Eyes Veterans Housing Initiative - the Avery House is a housing program comes with a full range of support services including meals, an employment and training program, and special services related to PTSD, substance abuse, and other challenges faced by veterans. Intensive case management and counseling are provided by Metamorphosis, Inc. to help veterans regain control of their lives.

BRIGHT EYES VETERANS HOUSING INITIATIVE is a not for profit organization that renovates and manages affordable housing in the Central Savannah River Site Areas seeks to service low to moderate income veteran and their families in Augusta, Georgia area to pursue their interests, create safe and affordable housing; breathe new life into communities through neighborhood revitalization/stabilization projects. BRIGHT EYES VETERANS HOUSING INITIATIVE is under the leadership of -Founder, Arlean J. Edwards Williams, CEO/COO and Dr. Macie King, CPO/CFO. This team was chosen because of their strong ties to the community members in 30901 and 30904 areas.
