Location:

Mission Statement

We are a 501 c3 organization of shelter volunteers advocating, educating and promoting opportunities for senior dog adoption, foster and rescue. We also work with community cases referred by shelters to avert surrenders where possible. There are no paid positions. All funds raised are used directly for the care needs of senior shelter and foster dogs.

Description

We work with Austin area shelters where hundreds of senior dogs arrive each year as unclaimed strays and unfortunate owner surrenders. This can be very traumatic to a senior dog. Strays often arrive in rough shape, both medically and spiritually. Owner surrenders are often traumatized to be in a shelter after losing a home of many years. As a result, volunteer help must be multi-faceted.
Everyone can have a hand in helping a senior dog get home for good.

Opportunities abound to volunteer, foster, adopt, donate and share the good word!
