HomeAid Orange County is in need of volunteers to help sort diapers and other items for homeless families and babies/toddlers. This comes after the annual HomeAid Orange County Essentials Diaper Drive which runs from May 12th to June 16th, and HomeAid OC's annual Builders for Babies event on June 21st.

Volunteers are needed from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. on June 29th at the OC Food Bank.
With the help of volunteers, HomeAid OC Essentials Team will be able to sort the diapers into groups based on sizes as well sorting the other over 1 million items donated to the Essentials Diaper Drive each year.

Since 1989, HomeAid Orange County has approached the crisis of homelessness with a unique and collaborative mindset. Our mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

Description

Since 1989, HomeAid Orange County has constructed 70 different housing projects for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Our unique model, rooted in in-kind donations of labor and materials, saves 30% of market-rate costs or more on each HomeAid construction project. Simply put, HomeAid is a nonprofit developer of shelters and affordable housing for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Survivors of domestic violence, teen mothers, abused and abandoned children, veterans, people living with mental illness and/or HIV/AIDs, and families all call HomeAid housing projects their home.
