Volunteer to sort and count diapers for families experiencing homelessness.
HomeAid Orange County is holding its' annual Essentials Diaper Drive. We're collecting necessary items like diapers, baby formula, and baby wipes for families experiencing homelessness that have babies and toddlers.
After the Essentials campaign wraps up on June 16th, HomeAid OC will need the help of the local community at our Builders for Babies event, which takes place on June 21st in the parking lot of Angel Stadium.
Builders for Babies: HomeAid OC collects all of the diapers donated during the Essentials Diaper Drive. Home builders join us by building mini homes out of diapers. A panel of celebrity judges decides whose home is the winner. The homes are then disassembled and the diapers are loaded on UPS trucks. The trucks deliver them the following weekend to OC Food Bank for our Essentials Sorting Day.
HomeAid OC is looking for volunteers to help with:
1. Diaper sorting and tear down at Builders for Babies on June 21st from 1p.m.. to 3p.m.
Please copy and paste this link into your browser to register directly. An email will be sent out the day before, June 20th, with more details. Each person needs to register individually.

Mission Statement
Since 1989, HomeAid Orange County has approached the crisis of homelessness with a unique and collaborative mindset. Our mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.
Description
Since 1989, HomeAid Orange County has constructed 70 different housing projects for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Our unique model, rooted in in-kind donations of labor and materials, saves 30% of market-rate costs or more on each HomeAid construction project. Simply put, HomeAid is a nonprofit developer of shelters and affordable housing for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Survivors of domestic violence, teen mothers, abused and abandoned children, veterans, people living with mental illness and/or HIV/AIDs, and families all call HomeAid housing projects their home.
