Travel Salem promotes the Salem area which includes Marion county and Polk county.
We are looking for volunteers to work in our vibrant downtown Salem Visitors Center.
Visitor Center duties include:
- Welcoming visitors
- Assisting with visitor information (attractions, dining, recreation, events etc.)
- Assisting with relocation information
- Answering visitor telephone calls
- Sending visitor information
- Assisting with small projects (creating relocation packets etc.
Throughout the week, Travel Salem's Guest Services Coordinator has meetings or is out of the the Visitors Center distributing Visitors Guides. Volunteers are needed to cover these times and also vacation coverage.
Travel Salem is a high energy, fun place to be. Some visitors to the Visitors Center are looking for specific information, while others are interested in your personal favorite locations to experience.

- Work in the Visitors Center is in 4 hour increments: 9:00am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm. Or you can choose the entire 9am to 5pm day with two breaks and an hour lunch break.
- Friendly person that loves the Salem and two-county region, and is familiar with the region and all the wonderful attractions and opportunities to share with visitors.
