The Humanitarian Crisis Simulation is a 48-hour learning experience hosted by the UMN Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility that utilizes dozens of volunteer role players to transform YMCA Camp St Croix into a patchwork of simulated refugee camps. The majority of role players will be refugees, but other roles include affected villagers, local government officials, hospital patients, militia members, UN staff, and logistical support. Volunteers can expect to learn a lot from this experience and have fun connecting with fellow volunteers and response professionals.
