Every day 7 people die in home fires and the Red Cross wants to do everything we can to prevent these needless tragedies.
Volunteer alongside fire departments and other local groups, canvassing at-risk neighborhoods to:
- install free smoke alarms
- replace batteries in existing alarms
- educate families about fire prevention and safety
- fundraise to help sponsor this life-saving mission

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 13
- Time frame from 9AM - 6PM, but there will be shifts. Let your Red Cross contact know which shift you can participate in when they reach out to you.
- Arrive 30 minutes in advance for registration. Starts on-time with just-in-time training, equipment and supplies will be provided. Wear comfortable walking shoes and climate appropriate clothing. All children must have adult supervision.
