The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to support the Sound the Alarm rally. Partnering with the City of Dundalk Fire Department, volunteers will visit homes to install free smoke alarms and share home fire safety education materials. Please ask your family, friends and colleagues to register. Training will be provided on site so previous experience is not needed.
The event will be a fun day of preparing families against home fires and making the community safer. When everyone has arrived, there will be a continental breakfast, you will be asked to choose what role you would like to do and be provided with on-site training. The team will receive supplies such as smoke alarms, a drill, educational materials, and a map of your route for the day. Then it's time to head out! Most of your day will be spent visiting homes, installing smoke alarms, and providing home fire safety education to residents. You may be given scheduled appointments at particular homes on your route, or you may be knocking on doors to offer to install free smoke alarms, or a combination of both. In either case, you will be providing a valuable service to your community and helping to save lives.
One day of your life can change someone else's forever. Please join us in Dundalk, MD. Event will be held rain or shine!2 Shifts
