Have you never met a stranger because everyone is a friend once you get to know them? Do you love to talk to people and hear their stories? Do you want to make a difference in the world one phone call at a time? If this sounds like you, then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Join us April 29 and/or 30 for our Phone-a-Thon! You can help flex your social skills by helping us call and ask our wonderful donors to join our monthly donor program in order to make a greater impact. No experience is required! We will train you on everything you need to know! Light dinner will be provided. Please join us!

Families and individuals in your community in need of a hand up partner with San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Description
Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Habitat is not a give-away program. In addition to a 1% down payment and monthly mortgage payments, each homeowner family invests 500 hours of their own labor -- sweat-equity -- into the building of their house and the houses of others.

- Orientation or Training
- Training is included on both days and the Phone-A-Thon begins after training. The shift is from 6PM - 8PM with training and light dinner provided.
- Please bring a GREAT attitude, an eagerness to learn about Habitat for Humanity , and the drive to help us reach our donors. We'll teach you the rest!
