ECHO (El Camino Homeless Organization) provides shelter for some of the homeless men, women, and children in SLO County 365 nights a year. Please consider helping ECHO as we continue to provide services to those in our county who need it the most!
The Morning Chaperone comes to ECHO at 7:00am to check in with the overnight volunteers and see how their night went and makes sure that the volunteers filled in the nightly log sheet. The Morning Chaperone is at the shelter to monitor and offer support to shelter residents while they get ready for the day. They are also in charge of closing up the shelter and making sure that all lights are turned off, all the doors are locked, and that all residents have left the property by 9:00am.
Training Description: Volunteers will have orientation and training before assuming this role.
Volunteer Requirements: Must enjoy working with others in a supportive role.

Description
The El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) provides meals, shelter, and supportive services to the homeless and hungry of northern San Luis Obispo County. Operating 365 days a year, ECHO is volunteer based organization that is supported by a coalition of churches, service organizations, and individuals. Our family atmosphere and selfless dedication of volunteers has been a refuge for many in their times of need.
