Event location TBD.

A person’s home is an important part of who they are. Home is often seen as an extension and expression of ourselves. By empowering members to stay in their homes, A Little Help helps our elders continue to take pride in their homes and yards. They are surrounded by evidence of past experiences and events that have helped shape their self-image. We want our neighbors to maintain their daily routines and activities as much as they are able, but sometimes those tasks around the home and in the yard just become unmanageable. We understand that many household and yard chores can become difficult with age, illness, or injury. Volunteers can help with the tasks listed below, or may serve in a consultant capacity, by providing information and advice. Service Saturdays! are twice-yearly events providing volunteer assistance for seniors with various home maintenance jobs, cleaning, organizing, raking, and other household tasks. Event volunteers join trained A Little Help volunteers to form small teams and tackle a multitude of tasks. A Little Help Service Saturdays! are great opportunities to pitch in and help your neighbors. We welcome volunteers from companies, churches, groups, families, and individuals. We need and appreciate your help to serve and celebrate the older adults in our communities!

About A Little Help

Location:

Mission Statement

A Little Help is a nonprofit organization that connects neighbors of all ages to help older adults thrive in their homes and in their communities.

Description

A Little Help connects volunteers with older adults to help them with tasks like yardwork, transportation, and errand running to help them age well in their homes. We serve older adults in Metro Denver/Jefferson County, Fort Collins and Berthoud/Loveland, and in the Western Slope.

A Little Help
is based on the Village Model in which local resources and people of all ages are brought together to benefit both older adult members and the greater community. Sharing talents, resources and building intergenerational relationships allow older adults to age safely and thrive in their homes. Studies have shown that those who live longer, healthier lives have close relationships with their neighbors and continually find new purpose as they age.
