Archway Housing & Services is a non-profit that builds and manages affordable housing communities for low-income families in Colorado. We also provide supportive services to all of our residents including adult education classes, food bank services, and youth enrichment programming.

We are currently looking for a STEM teacher to teach a once a week for 1 hour at our Lakewood location, near Simms and 8th Street. We have about 15 elementary students who love STEM activities and want to keep learning outside of the classroom! Our on-site Family Services Coordinator will assist the STEM teacher with classroom management and will purchase any supplies that are needed for the activities. The STEM teacher would only need to plan and lead the lesson. Before May 25th, classes could be any day, Mon- Fri from 4-5 pm. After May 25th classes can be any day, Mon-Fri and any time from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

If you are interested in working with at-risk youth and love STEM, please consider donating your time and talent to helping young people love learning! Archway is a wonderful organization that really cares for low-income families in Colorado. Consider joining our team! Thanks for your consideration!

Mission Statement

Archway Communities elevates lives by providing access to affordable housing, food security and the supportive social services people need to thrive.

Description

Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
