Camp Counselor with children with cancer
Volunteers are camp counselors taking care of children with cancer and their families in a camp environment. Volunteers work alongside our staff team. The staff team bring the camp expertise and the volunteers have fun with the children and families. Volunteers just need to have a sense of fun and desire to make a difference in the life of a family dealing with childhood cancer.
Volunteers arrive the day before the camp starts for orientation and training. Volunteers are matched with kids to be their "special friend" at camp. They do the activities alongside the kids and help them have an amazing time. Activities include swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, high ropes, archery, crafts, games, sports, campfires and much more.
