Children's Home Society of Washington has partnered with Chess4Life https://chess4life.com to provide innovative individual chess instruction to preschoolers. This helps children learn to take turns, follow rules, plan ahead, and consider what others are thinking. Additionally, it has been shown to improve scores in Math and other areas. We are in need of additional chess tutors for our preschool site at Highline Community College. This is an easy and fun activity. Volunteering for a few hours a month will make a difference for these children long-term. Step-by-step instructions are on-site.
