Help cats and kittens find their fur-ever homes by volunteering with Operation Homeward Bound! St. Francis Humane Association hosts adoption stands every Saturday at three PetCo locations along Midlothian Turnpike. Responsibilities include setting up the adoption stand, interacting with potential adopters, cleaning of habitats, and providing lots of TLC!

St. Francis Humane Association is an all-volunteer organization committed to finding permanent, responsible, and loving homes for animals, while working to prevent cruelty, relieve suffering and to promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of all animals.

Description

Through our partnership with Petco, St. Francis Humane Association has expanded its adoption program to include housing adoptable cats and kittens at local Petco stores and holding weekly adoption events. We currently house adoptable cats and kittens at three locations - Westchester Commons (routes 60 and 288), Steinmart Festival (Midlothian Turnpike and Robious Road) and Stonehenge Village (Courthouse Road and Midlothian Turnpike).

  • Must be at least 16
  • Adoption stands are 12-3 every Saturday. You can work one Saturday a month or more; it's up to you!
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, OR 16 with a guardian. Must not have no convictions of animal cruelty.
