The Virtual Volunteers are amazing people who give their time, love and support to a patient that is dying. There are many people who have no one and are scared to die alone. The Virtual Volunteer eases the patients fear and holds a sacred space for transition.
The Virtual Volunteer will have close contact and good communication with the hospice team.
The Virtual Volunteer is a special soul who honors life during death.

Mission Statement
Our Mission Statement is simple but powerful: Enriching the lives of those we serve with compassion, respect, excellence and integrity.
Description
Life is much more than physical health; it is also the dignity of the human spirit. When physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes increasingly important. Hospice care is a service that aids the transition between living and dying by providing respect, care, comfort, and support to patients and families.
Brookdale Hospice volunteers provide important support to the care of our patients and families. We have communities throughout the valley. We also serve outside the Brookdale walls in private homes.
Brookdale Hospice serves primarily residents at Brookdale Senior Living communities and the surrounding neighborhoods. We are CHAP accredited and a member of the NHPCO.
