Riverside is proud to have Animal Ambassadors, community members who bring their specially trained and certified dogs to see patients at Riverside Medical Center. A visit from an Animal Ambassador is always something special for patients, aiding with their health and healing.
Volunteers and their pets must go through a comprehensive screening and training process in order to participate in the program. Contact Jessica Macias at jmacias@rhc.net or call (815) 935-7509 to find out how to sign up for training!

Description
Volunteers are an important part of Riverside Healthcare. That's why Riverside offers opportunities for service that accommodate the schedules of students, working adults, and retirees. As part of our team, volunteers complement the care delivered by our professional staff by making sure that the needs of patients, families, and visitors are met.
Our volunteers have an opportunity to serve in many different ways. We offer volunteer opportunities in clinical settings, customer service areas, gift shop, clerical support areas in both office and educational areas; just to name a few.
