Are you an artist? Do you want to curate art shows? Our site just got re-modeled and we're looking for local artists to show their work in our community center.
- Having a deep knowledge of the arts, including artists, artistic forms and artistic methods
- Possessing specialized knowledge of specific subjects in art and history
- Working in museum settings with knowledge of exhibition development and operations as well as curatorial practices
- Developing relationships with local collectors, artists, scholars and others
- Researching artists and related subjects
- Managing multiple projects and collaborating

Mission Statement
Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit, multi-service agency with flagship sites in Little Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, and 33 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 35,000 people. Since our inception, almost 60 years ago, the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to the core element of our mission - enhancing the quality of individual, family and communal life through service to people of all ages, ability levels, stages of life and backgrounds.
Description
For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.
As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.
We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
