The Front Desk Volunteer will be responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls to the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, greeting and directing guests of the office, receiving packages and mail, and sometimes other small office tasks such as assembling mailings as need. Volunteers in this position will be asked to cover at least one half day shift per week. Volunteers may choose the morning or afternoon shift, depending on what works with their schedule.
We ask that Front Desk Volunteers plan to bring something to occupy their time while here (such as homework, a book to read, knitting and sewing materials, sketchbooks, etc.) in case we do not have additional office tasks that day.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Volunteers can choose to come in during the first and/or second half of the day. In addition to their regularly scheduled hours, volunteers can pick up open shifts as desired.
