Volunteers who visit patients in the hospital are truly "Ambassadors of Goodwill." They provide companionship, caring, and emotional support at a much-needed time. Patient Visitation volunteers listen carefully, taking genuine interest in the people the meet. They recognize the concerns associated with illness and communicate in ways that bring caring and hope into the lives of the patients they visit.
In a large hospital, with many out-of-town patients who may not have friends or family nearby, having someone to talk to can be important. Or maybe the patient just wants to visit with someone not as closely involved as family. Please come join us!
