Naples Historical Society is the Central Voice of Naples History!
Historic Palm Cottage is the Portal to Naples history!
Our biggest need for volunteers now is for Greeters for our House tours .
Greeters are the first people visitors meet when they arrive on the front porch of Historic Palm Cottage.
Our enthusiastic and friendly Greeters not only introduce the Historic Palm Cottage to visitors, but direct visitors, answer questions, handle fees and much more!
All Greeters must attend a volunteer orientation as well as fill out all required forms.
New Greeters will have the opportunity to train and shadow experienced Greeters.
We rely on a proven Veteran & Rookie System of Instruction for everyone.

Description
Give the gift of time at Naples Historical Society! Hundreds of others have done so. Friendships
are made while volunteering. Productive, like-minded conversations easily flow. Professional
staff involvement keeps our volunteers well informed and inspired. There are many ways to get
involved and enjoy your time while helping to preserve Naples’ past.
Naples Historical Society is dedicated to preserving Naples history and heritage for our
community and future generations to enjoy. The Society owns and operates Historic Palm
Cottage(tm) (a Landmark listed in the National Register of Historic Places, built in 1895), The Norris
Gardens at Palm Cottage, and Administration & Archives (a 1910 contributing structure nestled
in the Naples Historic District). We manage over five preservation initiatives and 10 educational programs throughout the year,
plus we hold many events. This is only the tip of the iceberg...we need your help!
Bring a spouse or friend to an upcoming volunteer orientation and learn more. It costs nothing
to attend and there is no obligation. We hold orientations twice a month throughout the year.
Call for information and decide after the orientation if or how you wish to volunteer your
valuable time. Thank you for your interest.
