Do you enjoy meeting new people? Working with the public? Helping others? Please consider visiting patients in the hospital through our Hand-in-Hand* program.

Hand-in-Hand is part of our Patient Visitation program, a pampering service for hospitalized patients in which a volunteer administers complimentary hand massage and lip balm/moisturizer for hands and face. The volunteer provides comfort and conversation. This is a very well-received program, with many positive patient comments. "Low-tech, high-touch"

Schedule: Flexible 2-3 hour shifts between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. M-F. (Not available evenings or weekends) Additional training required beyond general volunteer orientation; consists of shadowing experienced volunteers. Good opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or pre-med or pre-nursing college students. Prefer volunteer who can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
