The Lighthouse of Manasota is a nonprofit that serves the blind and visually impaired of all ages.
Our mission is to educate and empower those with vision loss so they may enjoy happy, healthy and independent lives.
Lighthouse is in need of a receptionist! Ideally, this volunteer could come one day a week for 4-6 hours weekly. Duties include: answering phones, directing calls to staff, answering general questions and directing clients that come into the office.

Description
Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center is the only nonprofit agency providing no-cost rehabilitation training to blind and visually impaired individuals of all ages in five counties. The counties we service include: Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto and Highlands. The Lighthouse provides training in skills that promote self-sufficiency and independence in the lives of individuals who have vision loss. Training varies from in-home instruction to facility-based classroom sessions in white cane, assistive technology, vocational rehabilitation and independent living skills.
