Help members of our community prepare for the naturalization test! We need compassionate and committed volunteers to help Adult Learners achieve their dream of becoming United States' Citizens. Opportunities include Lead Instructor and Support roles in our Citizenship classes at Cesar Chavez Library, and helping learners one-on-one at John Steinbeck Library. Training and ongoing support will be provided. Our program is growing, and we need you!

The Literacy Center at the Salinas Public Library offers a multitude of services for adult learners and their families. We believe that every individual desiring to learn and improve themselves deserves to have the support of someone who cares.
Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
