The IT volunteer opportunity at the City of Tulsa is designed to encourage interns to develop strategies and gain knowledge in a professional setting. The opportunity provides exposure not only to technical skills required to earn a position in a STEM related field, but also to communication and customer services skills often expected by hiring companies.

Volunteers will be actively engaged and using appropriate technologies such as Windows 7 and 10, Office 365, Legacy, virtualization, and ITIL processes. Interactions with IT mentors will foster a personal development experience which will help to cultivate self-esteem, critical thinking, and knowledge growth in a practical working environment.
