As the entry point to Cuyahoga County’s emergency shelter and homeless services, FrontLine Service’s Coordinated Intake & Assessment staff assesses every individual and/or family seeking shelter to determine if an immediate intervention might prevent the episode of homelessness. Potential volunteers will need to display compassion, dependability, ability to multitask, and know when to ask for help.

Volunteer/Intern Responsibilities: * Escorting clients to the restroom and unlocking the restroom door * Assisting families with items they may request, i.e. water, coffee, diapers, etc. * Tidying up the family area and children’s playroom * Organizing the donation room * Providing activities for the children * Making copies of intake packets

This is a day-time opportunity, with shifts Monday through Friday from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Training and a background check are required.
