Special Events volunteers work at special events in the museum and represent the museum at community events. Examples of special events where we have needed this type of volunteer are: visits from the Quinlan Preschool (the kids have a special story time and do crafts), Bay Area Diwali Festival (museum open house and crafts for kids), the Quinlan Center Tree Lighting, etc. These positions typically don’t require special training and are not weekly commitments.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Cupertino Historical Society & Museum is to create a passion for lifelong learning, preserve a vanishing past, and serve as a bridge to a shared future. Description

The Cupertino Historical Society was founded in 1966 to research and document Cupertino's heritage. In 1990 a museum was opened in the Quinlan Community Center to share that heritage with the community. In addition to offering rotating exhibits, the Society offers children's educational programs, a quarterly lecture series, and an informative newsletter.
