Do you love to read? Do you want to make a positive difference in our community? Why not become a hospice volunteer and share your love of reading with one of our patients? Brookdale Hospice is looking for someone like you who loves to read and can share some time and talent with one of our special residents. You get specialized hospice training from our staff and get to make someone's life a little better-- both your life and their life. Serious inquiries only: must pass background check, drug screen and complete a two-step TB test. Contact the Director of Volunteer Services at Brookdale Hospice for more information.

Description
Life is much more than physical health; it is also the dignity of the human spirit. When physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes increasingly important. Hospice care is a service that aids the transition between living and dying by providing respect, care, comfort, and support to patients and families.
Brookdale Hospice volunteers provide important support to the care of our patients and families. We have communities throughout the valley. We also serve outside the Brookdale walls in private homes.
Brookdale Hospice serves primarily residents at Brookdale Senior Living communities and the surrounding neighborhoods. We are CHAP accredited and a member of the NHPCO.
