The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Michigan Chapter is looking for motivated energetic, and friendly volunteers to help with our Annual TAKE STEPS WALK. This walk takes place at the Southfield Civic Center Complex on June 8th.

Positions available are:

  • Set up 7:30 am - 9:00 am Saturday, June 8th (some positions open Friday, June 7th)
  • Registration 8:00 am - 10:30 am
  • Kid Corral 8:30 pm - 12:00 pm
  • Food 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • Top Teams Tent - 8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Cheer Station 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Start line send off team - 10:15 am - 10:45 am
  • Finish Line team - 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
  • Clean up 11:30 pm - 1:30 pm

**Comfortable clothing suggested - pants and tennis shoes. All volunteers will be provided refreshments and a Take Steps T-shirt. Please contact Sarah Arminiak at sarminiak@crohnscolitisfoundation.org or text or call at 646-306-1970 if interested!

Description

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization aimed at improving the life of and finding a cure for the 1.6 million American adults and children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases. The Foundation maintains a presence across the United States, with chapters in every state offering support groups, educational programs, and fundraising events. On a national level, the Foundation hosts a variety of educational programs throughout the year for patients and professionals, including educational teleconferences/webcasts and its annual Advances in IBD professional conference. Its Information Resource Center, staffed by master's level healthcare professionals, provides information and support to the Crohn's and colitis community.
