Gary Community Partnership is participating in the Northwest Indiana Urban League Love Your Block Club Program! We are helping communities organize weekend cleanup events through our 2019 Weekend Cleanup Program! This effort will assist residents with organizing the cleanup project and provide volunteers to help support the cleanup effort working along side residents of the block! To do this we are developing a team of volunteers who will manage the project related task associated with each neighborhood cleanup. If you have a passion to help improve our communities, show us you passion by volunteering for an open positions:

Photographers - Can you capture the spirit of the moment digitally? Do your digital images speak to the audience who views them? Showcase your talent and help our effort by capturing the essence of our cleanup activities! Photographer will be onsite at block cleanup event to capture the before and after conditions of the project and the spirit of the volunteer effort! Your work will speak volumes to our corporate partners and provide valuable feedback to the rest the city who watches our progress! If this is your passion let us know! We welcome your support!

Publicity Committee - Are you an outgoing person? We are looking for energetic people who will use their creativity to inspire our marketing approaches! Out of the box thinkers are welcomed! Champion our presence on social media! We are hoping to get on-air time with the local radio to further promote us! If you have an outgoing personality and have the energy to promote our cause, join our team here!

Assistant Activity Coordinator- Are you good at multitasking? We are in need of people who will work with our project lead to help coordinate the overall 2019 program. This includes working with the various other groups to ensure our project task are on track for the weekly cleanup activities

Food Committee - We are looking for people to help us with organizing food distribution for every cleanup! Who works without food?! This position includes coordinating with the project lead to ensure that the right amount of food is distributed at each event for the workers.

Survey Committee - Are you able to clearly define requirements for a project? Enhance your project scoping skills! We are looking for volunteers to assist us with scoping each block club cleanup effort. Whether it requires 3 rake, 3 lawnmowers, or 1 week wacker, this committee will communicate the tools and resources necessary to successfully complete every project.

Volunteers - While we anticipate that every block will have its own participants, the phrase "This is our city, our community, our home" is not only a slogan, it is our belief! We are our neighbor's keeper and when we ALL work together we help make the load lighter for everyone. We are looking for volunteers to donate four hours of time at least once! With a total of 100 volunteers who give one (4) hour block of time this summer, we have the capacity to complete all 19 of our committed projects!
