ORGANIZATION: DuPage Children's Museum

Job Summary:
The Public Programs Intern assists the Public Programs Coordinator and Education &
Programs Department in the planning and execution of educational programs for museum
visitors, including but not limited to special events, pre-registered programs, daily programs,
performances, and off-site programs. The Public Programs Intern will gain an in-depth
understanding of museum program design, from conceptualization to implementation, as well
as how education and public programs contribute to the Museum’s mission.

Responsibilities
 Program Development
o Assist with the planning, research, development, and implementation of
programs for a diverse audience of caregivers and children aged 0-10 years
old, including special events, pre-registered programs, and daily programs
o Research potential presenters and community partners
o Assist in writing support materials for programs
o Assist with day-of-event program coordination
o Assist in the facilitation various educational programs

 Performances
o Research potential artists and performers
o Assist with day-of-performance coordination
o Attend to presenter/performer needs
