Are you interested in local history, the commercial fishing industry, or just being involved in the community? The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center might be the right place for you! We are looking for dedicated, reliable volunteers who will help greet visitors, staff the gift shop, engage visitors with tours, assist with educational programs, help with special events, and so much more! We need volunteers who are available either on Saturday mornings, or anytime between Thursday and Sunday and 10 am - 4 pm. Located in New Bedford, the nation's most valuable fishing port, the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center is dedicated to preserving and presenting the story of the fishing industry past, present and future through exhibits, programs and archives.
