The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue based in San Diego who's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out as many deserving dogs as we possibly can! Enter TAPACT - the activism wing of TAP! We are looking for activist-minded people who are super passionate about using their voices to make a difference for dogs! We are working to continue building our team who will help us develop this venture. Below are the different teams of TAPACT that we need more volunteers for:

  • Strategic Outreach Team Member: We are looking for proactive, organized, passionate volunteers to help raise awareness about our cause and strategize ways to get our message to as many people as possible. We need an A team of tenacious individuals who ideally (but not necessarily) have a background in outreach, communications or marketing. These volunteers will be given guidance to thrive, but will be expected to take initiative, create solutions & lead when it comes to taking a task from beginning to end. If you care about ending the cruelty and exploitation of our four-legged friends in the border area and you want to help get the message out, this is a great opportunity for you!
  • Research Team Member: TAPACT is searching for self-motivated, thorough, dog-loving volunteers to help build the foundation of our organization through research. Volunteers are task-based and will help TAPACT gain a better understanding of a variety of subjects including regulations for puppy sales in San Diego and Tijuana, protocols for reporting violations to authorities, diseases affecting dogs/puppies in our area, and much more. This position is fully remote and would be perfect for anyone looking to spend a few hours a month volunteering. If this sounds like something you are interested in, TAPACT would love to have you!
  • Marketing/Engagement Team Member: TAPACT is looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented, animal-loving people who want to help TAPACT with content creation. Volunteer needs on this team include social media outreach and growth, blog writing for The Animal Pad's website, and graphic or video editing for social media use. This position is fully remote and would be perfect for anyone looking to use some of their skills or interests to help TAPACT end the abuse and exploitation of dogs. Does this sound like you? Join this team!
