Who’s ready for some football, fundraising, and fun?
We are looking for volunteers, committee members, players, and coaches to join the 2019 Los Angeles RivALZ flag football game, to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
RivALZ is a volunteer-driven event that raises awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Two teams compete in a flag football game to help end Alzheimer’s. Teams also recruit coaches, announcers, and other volunteers to build atmosphere of fierce, friendly competition.
Leading up to game day, teams participate in a series of events to socialize, fundraise, and increase awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Each player works to raise money to benefit the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Ultimately, RivALZ hopes to meld the passion and spirit of young community leaders with the fight to end Alzheimer's.

Mission Statement
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health
Description
In 1979, Jerome H. Stone and representatives from several family support groups met with the National Institute on Aging to explore the value of a national, independent, nonprofit organization to complement federal efforts surrounding Alzheimer's disease. That meeting resulted in the April 10, 1980, formation of the Alzheimer's Association with Mr. Stone as founding president.
Today, the Association reaches millions of people affected by Alzheimer’s across the globe through our national office and chapters in communities nationwide. We are the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
