As a hospice volunteer you have the unique opportunity to impact the life of another and their friends and family at one of the most significant chapters of a person's life. Companion volunteers read to their patient, perhaps listen to music, have conversations, encourage life stories being shared, craft making, working puzzles, playing cards or games. Many of our volunteers have been with us assisting our patients for years. That is due in part to working closely as part of our outstanding dedicated team of hospice care providers as well as the comprehensive training and on going support they receive. However, the joy and satisfaction they receive knowing they made a difference to someone is the reward that they cherish most. A flexible schedule is designed to accommodate your availability.
