Fundraising managers need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They need to be good at researching and devising strategies and opportunistically taking advantage of donation possibilities. Fundraising managers must be adept at people management, building long-term relationships with potential donors or volunteers and persuasively explaining their charity’s cause. The ability to manage budgets and hit fundraising targets are important, as are organisational and IT skills. An interest in, and commitment to, the cause you are raising money for is essential.

Description
Sisters Unite wants to help many women get off the streets from being homeless. We volunteer at Downtown Womens Center at least once a month to feed and encourage the homeless women and we also conduct our own events donating goods, clothing, and setting up food stands to feed the homeless women and children on Skid Row. Our goal is to gain a larger volunteer base of women to help us make a difference in the Los Angeles county. We want to bring more uplifting and encouragement to single mothers so that their self confidence isn’t loss and they know pursuing a better life for their children is still possible.
