Golden Elite Track and Field club is an all-volunteer, non-profit, faith-based youth track
program. It is comprised of athletes ages 4-18 from the greater Pensacola and
surrounding area and offers a competition and non-competition program. Golden Elite
focuses on promoting diversity, healthy living, and abstinence. The mission of the
program is to use the sport of track and field to teach children that hard work and
dedication can help them achieve their goals on and off the track.
Golden Elite trains athletes to be their best no matter what their level. The coaches
develop a plan based on an individual’s abilities and work with athletes in a safe,
effective, age-appropriate manner. Golden Elite offers training in sprinting, distance, and
field events. In addition, our program offers life skill classes and nutritional education.
We are currently seeking assistant coaches for our 2019 outdoor track season which
runs from February 2 to May 24 on weekends and from May 24 to July 31 Mondays
through Friday. Our biggest need is for Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer,
which are the non-competition days with the largest number of athletes. In particular,
our team is seeking coaches interested in field and distance events. This position is
open to anyone with experience in coaching track and field or for candidates interested
in gaining coaching/sports and fitness experience. High school students in need of
volunteer hours for Bright Futures can also participate as mentors.
If you have a passion for track and field and for building up young athletes to reach their
fullest potential and if you are willing to uphold our program’s values-to instill respect
for oneself, one’s character, and one’s conduct-then this position is for you. Please
contact 850-346-4132 or goldeneliteclub@hotmail.com to apply or for more information.
