Join American Express and the Student Conservation Association (SCA) in partnership with Bronx River Alliance to Restore Shoelace Section of Bronx River!
This spring, SCA is hosting projects nationwide to honor Earth Day. With national support from American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In New York City, American Express employee volunteers and the community will help restore the Shoelace section of the Bronx River.
WHEN: Thursday, April 25th, 9:00 am -12:00 pm.
WHERE: Shoelace Section of Bronx River, E Gun Hill Rd & Olinville Ave Intersection, Bronx, NY 10467. More details TBA.
Public transit is encouraged. For bus transportation, please take the bus to E Gun Hill Rd/Olinville Ave stop. For subway transportation, please take the train to Gun Hill Rd stop; the event will be west of the station approximately 1-2 blocks.
WHAT: Volunteers will help restore the Bronx River at the Shoelace section with waterways and land clean-up.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
PROVIDED: All project supplies and gloves will be provided.
