Join American Express and the Student Conservation Association (SCA) in partnership with City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation to restore Papago Park!
This spring, SCA is hosting projects nationwide to honor Earth Day. With national support from American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In Phoenix, American Express employee volunteers and the community will help restore Papago Park.
WHEN: Saturday, April 20th, 9:00 am -12:00 pm.
WHERE: Papago Park, 625 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
Parking details: At stop light on 625 N Galvin Pkwy, turn onto Papago Park Rd towards the zoo. Follow signs to picnic areas by turning left at the first intersection onto Papago Rd. Papago Rd then turns into Ranger Office Loop Trail (one-way). Follow Loop Trail until the ponds emerge on the left and take the right following to Ramada 16.
WHAT: Volunteers will help restore Papago Park through waterway clean-up at the pond, trail restoration, and invasive removal.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
PROVIDED: All project supplies and gloves will be provided.
