Serve Veterans Who Have Served Our Country! Become a Hospice Volunteer Today!
Do you enjoy visiting with other people? Kind people like you are needed to provide companionship to hospice patients, many of whom are veterans. Our companions visit patients and families and offer emotional support to veterans as part of our hospice team. Visiting may involve talking with patients and families, reading to patients, or participating in activities with them. Visiting times are flexible and are individualized to our patients and volunteer’s schedules. Training is provided as well as ongoing support from our dedicated hospice team! Bring Joy to Hospice Patients - various opportunities available
St. Croix Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to visit people affected by a life-limiting illness. We have several volunteer opportunities available: companionship, vigil, and pet therapy. We also have opportunities in our office to assist with administrative tasks. Visits are scheduled at your convenience but are typically requested by the patient to occur once per week for at least an hour. Schedules will be very flexible! Do You Have A Certified Therapy Dog? Bring them to Visit a Hospice Patient!
St. Croix Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals and their furry friends to visit people affected by a life-limiting illness. Pet therapy has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and physical and emotional pain. We are seeking people and their certified canine companions to visit once per week. Description
Originally founded in Minnesota, St. Croix Hospice is named after the St. Croix River. Symbols of change, rivers are restless, sometimes moving swiftly and other times peaceful and nearly still. Like life, rivers are not always easy to navigate, and it’s good to have a guide to help you through the difficult parts. We are here to guide your end-of-life journey with care and compassion.
Our clinical staff are professional, compassionate and award-winning. Our care team includes healthcare experts who believe in the power of hospice care to increase quality of life for all people approaching their final days.
