The LOT Project is looking for a a volunteer to serve as Donation Center Assistant for our Monday evening Donation Center (DC). We hope to find someone who can commit to a weekly role to support our Program Director, Cody, in running the DC on Monday evenings.

Donation Center Assistant tasks will include:

  • Setting up tables and racks for Donation Center
  • Supervising groups of volunteers as they serve at the DC
  • Providing donation receipts and capturing donor contact info
  • Transporting surplus donated items to other charities (using the LOT truck)
  • Occasionally running Donation Center when Cody is out
The ideal volunteer for this position would be at least 18 years of age, with a valid driver's license and clear driving record.

This would be a great opportunity for a high school senior or college student seeking experience in the nonprofit field. This would also be a great opportunity for someone who is seeking to develop job skills in preparation to enter (or re-enter) the workforce, or someone seeking an opportunity to stay active and involved after retirement.

Monday Donation Center is open every Monday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at our 302 West Market Street location.
