Yours Humanly is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help build our volunteer team! We are looking for a talented self-starter who will recruit and manage volunteers and be responsible for delegating duties and retaining extraordinary people who value in service to others.

The Volunteer Coordinator’s goal is to ensure that our organization is consistently staffed with the most effective and reliable volunteers, and that volunteers are placed and utilized efficiently to help further our mission and their personal expectations.

• Source and recruit volunteers through a variety of methods (e-mail, personal network, social media, and such).
• Collect and record information on availability and skills.
• Assign responsibilities to the right people for special events and projects-that means people who feel a sense of ownership of the positions and who are equipped to fulfill what the roles demand.
• Disseminate information thoroughly and accurately to volunteers for upcoming activities and events.
• Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments.
• Ensure that the mission of the organization and the purpose of the volunteer activity are clearly communicated.

The ideal Volunteer Coordinator candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, empathy, and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
